Donna’s passion for healthy living has sprung into a career in personal training and teaching yoga. She incorporates her personal training background with yoga and conscious living techniques to create a holistic style of teaching that promotes wellness and happiness in her client's lives.
“I started practicing yoga over 10 years ago. When I was struggling with an unhealthy relationship with food and self-esteem issues, yoga was encouraged as part of my recovery. I never felt better than I did during those last 5 minutes of yoga class!”
Since then Donna has gone on to train and become a certified personal trainer (CanFitPro) and Yoga Teacher. Her main influences have come from the Krishnamacharya style of yoga as a therapeutic practice.
Donna’s teachers include Maureen Rae, Tony Murdock (meditation) and Amy Weintraub. Her inspiration also stems from workshops she’s taken with Dharma Mittra, Yogi Vishvketu, Seane Corn, Nischala Devi, Bo Forbes and others. Donna’s experience with depression, anxiety, stress, and weight management have led her to study LifeForce Yoga® with her teacher Amy Weintraub in Arizona.
LifeForce Yoga® is a therapeutic style of yoga that helps to clear the obstructions and relieve suffering caused by depression, anxiety, mood disorders, stress, and more. Donna weaves the techniques of LifeForce Yoga® into her personal style of teaching to lift the mood, bring balance to the emotions, clear the energy and remove the obstructions to ultimately help clients to live their truest life.
